Biografia

Since childhood I have been intruigued by three dimensional art.
Now I, as a sculptor, create my own in bronze, marble, aluminum, and stained glass.

I have created aluminum and stainIed-glass kinetic outdoor sculptures as high as 19 feet. These unique designs - called Oracle I, II, and III - allow the viewer a different perspective every time they see them, because the inner stained-glass and aluminum panels revolve within the outer aluminum wings. The MAAS Foundation recently ordered Oracle II for installation in a senior housing project.

The fluid grace of the female form is captured in exciting polished stainless steel and innovative bronze in my figurative series. I have won several awards with such sculptures as Gorgeous, Gentleness, Queenie, and Isadora - both in bronze and stainless steel. As with all my sculptures, no two pieces are ever identical. I use a unique patina (finish) with colors like Liver of Sulphur Museum Brown, Cupric Nitrate Blue, and Ferric Red-Brown, giving each sculpture its own distinctive identity.

My bronze mime series, Control, represents basic personality concepts. The mime mask is the mask that we all hide some part of our personality behind. This series is designed to be 1/3, 2/3, and full life size, with various heights up to 18 feet. At present there are 16 pieces in this exciting series. The MAAS Foundation purchased Control III - their third acquisition of my art - for installation at the Jewish Community Center in Oak Park, MIchigan.

Critica

The hand is the metaphor for the subconscious, which controls our behavior. It is a development of our life experiences; thus, until we discover how and why our subconscious is what it is, we find it difficult - if not impossible - to grow and mature to our fullest potential. The hand - or subconscious - controls us, and sometimes keeps us on the delicate balance between right and wrong. The mimes I have created depict the delicate complexities of the human spirit.

Over the years, I have won several awards for my sculptures, including two Best of Show, one First Place, one People's Choice, and two Second Place. My work has been purchased by collectors all overe the United States, from Washington State to Florida, New York, and California. I currently advertise in Architectural Digest.
