This Valley, with its colours, shapes and voice is the place where you can take root, that allow you to explore old traditions and magic sceneries.
The sky charges the mountains of colours, it changes them, it makes them astonishing and admirables in every new shape. The mountains are our limit, our barrier that allows us to deeply understand the dimension of the human be. To look at the peaks, walls or to the gorges causes, simultaneously, the wish to try one's strength and gives us the courage to afford always a new challenge. A SCULPTUR IN THE FASSA VALLEY, LIVING IN THE S.LORENZO QUARTER.
The exhibition prepared in the S. Lorenzo quarter deserves a particular attention. We can see there the typical Fassa Valley's artisanship in which stands out the talented artist Andrea Soraperra from Canazei. It is about wood-carving sculptures of the Fassa Valley, showing the traditional subjects of the wooden plastic. Mr. Soraperra loves these traditional themes, just because they fit to the material features. The wood infact is so warm and ductile, natural and spiritual that is the best material for representing religious and daily life subjects. Mr. Soraperra infact is able to transmit to the wood his sensations of life, his origins attached to his land with very strong and deep roots. Land, that thanks to its beauty, is able to create artists such as .Mr. Soraperra.
